Google Keep adds app shortcuts, pinned messages in update

Now you really can stick a pin in it.

Google Keep now lets you save important messages to the top of the app with a handy, little pin icon. And if you have a Pixel or Android 7.1, you’ll be able to jump to a specific action through app shortcuts. Just touch and hold on the new, circular icon and you’ll have several options to choose from.

Also, you can touch and hold on any of these and pin that task straight to your homescreen. It’s one of several new features that first debuted in the Pixel.

In Keep you’ll find a pin icon inside of notes as well as at the top of the main group of notes when you touch and hold on one.
