To update to watchOS 3.2, you first need to update your iPhone to iOS 10.3. Your Apple Watch needs to has at least a 50 percent battery charge and be within range of your iPhone. After that, you can get the watchOS update through the Watch app. Tap on General, then Software Update. You can read about the update before you tap Download and Install.
The main new feature in watchOS 3.2 is Theater Mode. This turns on silent mode and keeps the Apple Watch screen dark, even if you raise your wrist. To see the screen, you need to tap the watch face.
watchOS 3.2 also includes an update to Siri that allows it to work with apps to “start workouts, send messages, make payments, book rides, and more,” according to Apple’s release notes.
The other updates: French, Spanish, and Italian support in Scribble; and the Watch app on the iPhone now displays your music playlist sync progress.
To install tvOS 10.2, go to the Settings app on your Apple TV. Then select System > Software Update.
This updates improves the scrolling of tvOS, making it easier to navigate the software. According to the developer release notes of the tvOS 10.2 beta, “several large swipes” activated accelerated scrolling. Swiping the far right side of the Apple TV remote allows you to “navigate specific indexes.”
tvOS 10.2 is reuired to use the new “rent once, watch anywhere” feature introduced in iTunes 12.6. This feature allows you to watch movies rented through iTunes on any device, regardless of where the rental was initiated. (iOS 10.3 is required to use this feature on the iPhone and iPad.)
