What is your favourite personal gadget?
As I participate in triathlons, my Garmin GPS is an equipment I really love. I can use it for running, cycling, or a combination. It helps me a lot to get ready for a competition.
Do you have a favourite piece of personal software?
WhatsApp. I like this application a lot and use it every day to chat with my teams all over the world. And they know I like good business news, so I’m always the first one to be notified when we win a nice deal thanks to WhatsApp.
What was the first piece of technology you got really excited about?
My first iPod. I still have it!!!
What device improves your life most at work?
As EfficientIP has recently expanded its reach internationally, providing solutions, professional services and support all over the world with the help of global business partners, Skype has been a very useful tool for us, both internally and externally. I use it a lot when I travel.
What software keeps you most productive at work?
Skype, being regularly updated by my teams around the world helps me stay focus on priorities.
Is there any technology that has become extinct that you would like to resurrect?
MP3 - I used to listen to music when going out for a run and be able to completely switch off. Nowadays, everything relies on smartphones so it’s hard to disconnect.
Is there any technology you would personally recommend that you don’t think enough people know about? (Hardware or software, work or personal)
DNS security. As this critical element to deliver IT services has become a prime target and entry point for hackers and data thieves, it is of vital importance today. Our recent research shows that despite 91% of malware using it, half of businesses are still not aware of it. It is a dangerous world out there, organisations around the world really need to start thinking of securing their DNS architecture to make sure they are protected against both external and internal DNS threats.
Do you think anything about your personal use of tech would surprise your colleagues?
No, I use tech as much as they think.
