Today, organizations need to identify and protect themselves and constituents from a variety of threats. Relevant data streams pour in from internal and external sources. Staying abreast threats requires constant monitoring and analysis of disparate data, and fusing the insights into one intelligence picture. This fused approach is referred to as Enterprise Intelligence.

The ongoing analysis and fusion approach has been used for years by defense and national security agencies. Now commercial organizations and civilian agencies adapting similar processes including security operations centers (SOC) and fusion centers.
