Many businesses today are looking to improve their data integration capabilities alongside their move to the cloud. To achieve this effectively, many organisations are considering iPaaS vendors and the benefits that they can offer. However, choosing the right solution isn’t easy – every business is different, and there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution.

Over 388,000 professionals have used IT Central Station research to inform their purchasing decisions. Its latest paper looks at Boomi AtomSphere Integration and Mule Anypoint Platform, two of the highest reviewed solutions in the iPaaS market.

Below is a brief summary of the report, highlighting what real IT Central Station users think of each solution – from their most valuable features, to how they’ve improved individual businesses, as well as what each solution could do better.

Boomi AtomSphere Integration

Supports all your application integration processes across cloud platforms, SaaS applications, and on-premises systems.

With an average rating of 8.5 from four reviews, Boomi AtomSphere Integration is incredibly popular with its users. Deployed largely throughout the computer software, comms services, and media industries, the solution finds itself implemented at organisations of all sizes. 63% of users are from smaller organisations with less than 200 employees, whilst midsize and larger organisations make up 13% and 25% of the remainder of the customer base.

Boomi AtomSphere Integration users highlight many of the solution’s benefits compared to other products on the market. The high volume of connectors it offers is seen as very helpful by most users and its user-friendly interface and good documentation make it quite easy to work the tool efficiently. However, the product could still be improved in a few key areas, with critics wanting to see more involvement from the vendor with end-users to help improve the customer experience. They would also appreciate if improvements were made to the solution’s API.

Mule Anypoint Platform

Solves the most challenging connectivity problems across SOA, SaaS, and APIs

Achieving an average rating of 8.0 across seven reviews, Mule Anypoint Platform is one of the more popular iPaaS tools currently available. Like Boomi’s offering, Mule’s solution maintains a significant presence in the computer software, comms services, and media industries. Of the reviewers who have offered their verdict on the solution, 75% come from organisations with workforces of over 1000 employees, and 25% from midsize enterprises.

Plaudits of Mule Anypoint Platform are quick to praise it as one of the easiest tools to use on the market. Its excellent API management, impressive monitoring capabilities, and simple implementation process ensure it delivers a comprehensive and effective experience to its users. Despite these advantageous features, the product could still benefit from more intelligent data management and mappings, as well as more robust and efficient tech support.
