What are you reading now? I’m working through a science fiction book called The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin. I had been hearing all about it, so I thought it was time to sit down and read it for myself. Any tech person would love it. I’m also reading a nonfiction book called Hannibal and Me by Andreas Kluth about business and success. Most people don't know that I… I did a lot of go-kart racing growing up. Both of my parents have recreational race cars, and so I drove them a lot as a teenager. I’m a pretty good race driver. There are a couple of small race tracks we’ve attended as for team exercises, and I always smash everyone. My co-workers always know I’m going to bring it. In my spare time, I like to…Go to the beach. Growing up in the Midwest, I always saw pictures of the beach. So now that I live close to the beach, I made an effort to spend as much time as possible there because I know this won’t be forever. Lately, I’ve always been learning new skills including CAB software and learning how to make parts around the house with a 3D printer. Ask me to do anything but… Long-form writing and administrative tasks. I much prefer to be making things - a software feature, user interface design or an analytics dashboard. long-form writing is important, and I’ve done my best to be good at it, but it takes a lot of energy. |
