What are you reading now? Currently I have taken a liking to some industrial and IoT communication standards with more than 15 years in the market where the last few years have brought what could only be described as a pandemic of internet exposed systems, depending on where this goes I may lose interest or get myself buried beyond the point of what is reasonable in understanding this potential scourge to internet security.

In my spare time, I like to… spend a lot of time with the family, and my dogs. The ability to work close with the dogs provides a complete contrast to my day-to-day work, albeit I have taken interviews with media from the Scandinavian forests from hilltops with cellphone receptions. It’s a welcome pause from the otherwise always connected, always available society we are part of most days of the year.

Most people don't know that I… When asked by sales to organise a “just as with the boys” experience for a visiting customer derailed and took the client fishing, eating sandwiches from the boot of my car. I still count the gentleman as one of my personal friends, but I may have taken the instruction substantially to literally or misjudged how others treat their travelling acquaintances. Needless to say I think this was the first “beers from a cooler-bag and make your own sandwich from the trunk of the car” experience for my now friend while on a business trip.

Ask me to do anything but… Break confidentiality. Security is based on trust, no matter how benign that may sound. Confidentiality, toward coworkers, customers, partners – that is paramount.
