What is your favourite personal gadget?

Do you have a favourite piece of personal software?
Spotify, especially when it introduces you to new music or similar artists.

What was the first piece of technology you got really excited about?
I saved up for the lightest tape playing Walkman, it had no buttons on it and was only just bigger than the tape itself.

What device improves your life most at work?
My laptop, as I’m always writing a proposal or responding to an email.

What software keeps you most productive at work?
Box.com – having the documents shared across our team via the cloud is great.

Is there any technology that has become extinct that you would like to resurrect?
The minidisc. I loved it, and it was durable. I know it’s not cloud, but there was something cool about it.

Is there any technology you would personally recommend that you don’t think enough people know about? (Hardware or software, work or personal)
It surprises me that so many people don’t realise how easy it is on most cars now to play Spotify on your phone, through your car stereo.

Do you think anything about your personal use of tech would surprise your colleagues?
I’m probably a step behind and quite conservative with my use of tech compared to my colleagues now. They are all very geeky, with smart watches, 3D goggles before they are released and it doesn’t seem to be a week that goes by without a Kickstarter product arriving.
