A bad week for Facebook and Zuckerberg, a good week for memes

The tech media this week was largely focused on Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s appearance before Congress to answer questions around Facebook’s data use following the Cambridge Analytica and election scandals. It was largely a damp squib with little being revealed that hasn’t already been reported.

The social network mogul again resisted the idea of regulation, claimed users had the right to control how their data was used, re-covered the Cambridge Analytica timeline, regretted the Russian influence on elections, and said he was “Sorry”.
