Multifactor authentication refers (as the name suggests) to the use of two or more factors (also referred to as "credentials") to authenticate a user. These factors must come from at least two of three categories: Knowing, having, and properties (passwords, pins, electronic keys, and so on).

This report explains the five essential things that an MFA solution must offer for customers:

  1. Safety and comfort in harmony with one another
  2. Integration into your mobile app
  3. Centralized management
  4. Protection of your Brand
  5. Support of a self-managed network or trusted devices.
