Middle East: Highlights 2014

Much of the Middle East is either mired in conflict or is sitting on a staggering amount of oil wealth. This means that tech stories range considerably. In fact, countries like Lebanon or Yemen prove hard to track down out any cohesive tech projects in at all. While places like the UAE and Dubai are positively bursting with initiatives.

One of our favourite pieces of the year though was an interview with Christopher M. Schroeder, author of Startup Rising, which provides an excellent overview of how people and countries in the Middle East are taking advantage of technology-enabled opportunities.
