What is your favourite personal gadget?
It has to be my iPhone because it allows me to stay up-to-date on what’s happening in the news and keeps me connected to my colleagues and family. I'm also a firm believer that e-mail is not the most effective form of two-way communication. It’s important to pick up the phone to call and speak to someone directly – so my iPhone is perfect.

Do you have a favourite piece of personal software?
With all the travel I do for work, TripIt helps keep me organized. I can forward my booking e-mails to the app and then see all my upcoming itineraries in one place, it’s a life saver!

What was the first piece of technology you got really excited about?
A ham radio. It makes you part of a world-wide community.

What software keeps you most productive at work?
It sounds simple, but I would be lost without my Outlook calendar. It keeps me on task throughout the day and as it syncs across devices, I can use it at the office, on the road, or at home.

Is there any technology that has become extinct that you would like to resurrect?
Where we are today is based on where we were before, so there is nothing I would wish to bring back/or think should be bought back. I think it's important that we continue to move forward and create new products and software based on previous technologies - learning equally from successes and failures.

Is there any technology you would personally recommend that you don’t think enough people know about? (Hardware or software, work or personal)
Every morning, I start my day off with a work out on my Peloton Stationary Bike. It keeps me engaged and focused, and is something I look forward to as it helps alleviate the stress that comes in my line of work.
