What is your favorite personal gadget?
My Beats headphones -- love the sound quality and their look.

Do you have a favorite piece of personal software?
‘Cointracking, com’, not software as such, but I was bitten by the Crypto bug a while ago and have progressed from an entry level Coinbaser to using multiple trading sites and exchanges to play with the more obscure coins available and emerging. The Cointracking site is a godsend in that it allows you to track your investments in one place…

What was the first piece of technology you got really excited about?
Sony Walkman because I love music, I was blown away when I was given my first personal stereo. Having the freedom to walk around listening to my favorite cassettes was an amazing moment in my life.

What device improves your life most at work?
An obvious one but my MacBook Pro, it’s so easy to use, functional and has everything I need in one place.

What software keeps you most productive at work?
Keynote – its intuitive and helps me build pitches and decks really quickly.

Is there any technology that has become extinct that you would like to resurrect?
Polaroid cameras. Love the physicality of a printed memory and Polaroid’s ‘instantaneousness’ made it all the more magical. Having said this, I did bump into someone at a party recently who had an instant, portable digital photograph and print device hanging around his neck. Unfortunately, the print quality wasn’t as warm and glossy as a good old Polaroid pic.

Is there any technology you would personally recommend that you don’t think enough people know about? (Hardware or software, work or personal)
Live video of course! It’s what we are experts in at GoInStore. We are at the forefront of this technology, so we are out there educating brands and consumers about the business and personal benefits of using live video, which includes increasing online conversion rates and combining the personalised instore shopping experience with the convenience of online purchasing.

Do you think anything about your personal use of tech would surprise your colleagues?
No matter where I drive, I absolutely have to have the Sat Nav on.  Even if it’s a trip I do weekly and know like the back of my hand, I just need it on. I guess it allows me that tiny bit more of mind space to drift and contemplate on other things other than the route I’m taking.
