The OnePlus 3T is revealed, promising better specs for $439

The OnePlus 3T will be available Nov. 22, packing in a faster chip and a number of internal improvements that will make it the replacement to the OnePlus 3.

The details are now live on the OnePlus site, giving you what you need to know about the hardware improvements and buying options. The phone packs a Snapdragon 821 chip clocked at 2.35 GHz and is paired with an Adreno 530 GPU.

Just as with the OnePlus 3, the phone will have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, but a 128GB option will also be added. There’s also a new color variant that’s named “Gunmetal.”

Another helpful upgrade is a bump in the battery, which will be 3400mAH. OnePlus says you’ll get “a day’s power in half an hour” owing to the company’s Dash fast charging. The phone launches with OxygenOS 3.5, which sticks pretty close to Android Marshmallow with some more advanced customizations.

The OnePlus 3T will sell for $439, a slight bump from the pricing of its predecessor, but still a pretty good deal for the specs you get.

Why this matters: The OnePlus 3 did well at hitting the sweet spot between price and performance. While the new model is a little more expensive, it might be worth it for the boost in specs and the Snapdragon 821 performance, which so far does rather well in the Pixel.
