And, technology is only likely to continue driving change as businesses' appetite for innovation and competitive advantage increases.

With more job opportunities available than ever before, and a low unemployment rate amongst tech specialists, the tech scene has become an extremely competitive marketplace for businesses to operate in. Those looking to source the best talent are having to put together more competitive compensation packages, complete with additional perks and benefits in order to stand out from the crowd, especially for the most in-demand positions.

Randstad US' recent research on salaries and trends identifies the top five tech positions that businesses will focus on filling in 2019, and highlights the average salaries these positions are likely to pay both entry-level candidates and specialists with years of experience.

Their list includes:

Cloud Engineers - The cloud computing market is set to reach $411 billion by 2020. As businesses continue to invest in the cloud, specialists in cloud technology will remain in high-demand.
